About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in the physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, ensuring smooth operations and assisting our researchers and scientists.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and supplies according to standard protocols
Assist in the setup and operation of experiments and demonstrations in the physics, chemistry, and biology labs
Collect, record, and analyze data from laboratory experiments
Ensure the proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and samples
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory spaces
Provide support to researchers and scientists in conducting their experiments and research activities
Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline)
Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in an educational or research institution
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
Proficient in the use of common laboratory equipment and instruments
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and hazardous materials handling

Nice to Have

Experience in data analysis and report writing
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
Certifications in laboratory techniques or safety training
